This class is for our Obedience 101 and STAR Puppy graduates who would like to continue to advance their training skills and bond with their dog. In this class you will be prepared for the AKC CGC Test.
- At the end of the class you will be tested on:
- Accepting a friendly stranger
- Sitting politely for petting
- Grooming etiquette
- Loose leash walking
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Come
This training prepares your dog for the AKC Good Citizen evaluation that is given in the sixth week of class. Some insurance companies, apartment management, homeowner and condominium associations are requiring CGC certification or offering discounts to those who have dogs that have earned it.
Age appropriate vaccines are required.
Prerequisites: Having completed either our STAR Puppy Class, or Obedience 101 Class
Ages: For dogs six months and older.
Duration: 6 weeks.
