Whether you’re starting with the basics or looking to build on existing skills, our group classes are designed to meet you where you are. Taught by experienced trainers who have titled dogs in multiple disciplines, each class combines structure, fun, and real-world application to help both ends of the leash learn and grow together. Join a supportive, distraction-rich environment where progress is always the goal—and perfection isn’t required.
The Basics
Obedience 101:
Our 6-week Obedience 101 course is designed to help you build a strong foundation with your dog while teaching the essential skills for a well-mannered companion. In this small-group class (limited to 8 dogs), you’ll learn how to teach and reinforce key behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come when called, and polite leash walking. We’ll also focus on real-world manners like greeting people calmly and paying attention around distractions. Our goal is to strengthen the bond between you and your dog while giving you the tools to confidently handle everyday situations. Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or simply looking to brush up on the basics, Obedience 101 is the perfect starting point for a lifetime of good behavior.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class:
Start your puppy on the right paw with our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program! This 6-week class is designed for puppies under 6 months old and focuses on building a strong foundation in manners, socialization, and confidence. We’ll introduce basic obedience cues like sit, down, and come, teach polite greetings, and provide guidance on common puppy challenges such as biting, jumping, and house manners. In addition, you’ll gain valuable tips on responsible pet ownership and raising a well-adjusted companion. At the end of the course, your puppy will have the opportunity to earn the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate—an excellent first step toward future obedience and CGC titles.
AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Class:
Our AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class is a 6-week course designed to prepare you and your dog for the official AKC CGC test, which is included at the end of the program. This class focuses on teaching and reinforcing the real-world skills needed for your dog to be a well-mannered member of the community, including polite greetings, loose leash walking, calm behavior around other dogs, and reliable responses to basic commands. Throughout the class, we’ll guide you through the 10 CGC test items, provide tips for continued success, and help strengthen your bond with your dog. By the end of the course, your dog will have the skills and confidence to earn the prestigious Canine Good Citizen title—a recognition of their excellent manners and your dedication as an owner.
Advanced
AKC Canine Good Citizen Advanced Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of AKC CGC class. Take your dog’s manners beyond the basics with our AKC CGC-A class, also known as the Community Canine certification. This 6-week course focuses on teaching your dog to behave politely and be ready for real-world settings, such as parks, busy sidewalks, or pet-friendly stores. Skills include loose leash walking through crowds, calmly entering and exiting doorways, ignoring distractions, and demonstrating reliable responses to key commands. The course concludes with the official CGC-A test, included with your enrollment. Earning this title proves that your dog is not just a well-mannered companion at home but a confident and polite member of the community.
AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen Class:
Prerequisite: The completion of AKC CGC-A Class. Our AKC CGC-U class is designed to prepare your dog for the unique challenges of navigating city and neighborhood environments. Over the course of 6 weeks, your dog will learn to safely and confidently handle urban scenarios, including crossing streets, ignoring food or trash on the ground, calmly passing other dogs and people, and navigating stairs or elevators. Training sessions may include field trips to real-world locations to practice these skills in action. At the end of the course, the official AKC Urban CGC test is included, showcasing that your dog can be a trusted, polite companion in any bustling urban setting.
AKC Rally Class:
Prerequisite: The completion of AKC CGC-A Class. Our AKC CGC-U class is designed to prepare your dog for the unique challenges of navigating city and neighborhood environments. AKC Trick Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of AKC CGC class. Whether your dog is just starting out or already has a few tricks under their collar, our AKC Trick Dog class is designed to meet them where they are—and take them to the next level! This upbeat, engaging class covers all levels of AKC Trick Dog titles, from Novice to Performer, with individualized coaching based on your dog’s skill set. We’ll work on fun and functional tricks like spin, shake, crawl, hoop jumps, and more, while building confidence, focus, and creativity along the way. Dogs will have the opportunity to earn an official AKC Trick Dog title by the end of class. It’s the perfect blend of learning and play!
