Whether you’re starting with the basics or looking to build on existing skills, our group classes are designed to meet you where you are. Taught by experienced trainers who have titled dogs in multiple disciplines, each class combines structure, fun, and real-world application to help both ends of the leash learn and grow together. Join a supportive, distraction-rich environment where progress is always the goal—and perfection isn’t required.
Obedience Classes
Everyday Essentials Class*:
Everyday skills. Lifelong habits. Better adventures together! Our 6-week Everyday Essentials Class is designed to help you build a strong foundation with your dog while teaching the essential skills for a well-mannered companion. In this small-group class (limited to 8 dogs), you’ll learn how to teach and reinforce key behaviors such as place, sit, down, stay, come when called, and polite leash walking. We’ll also focus on real-world manners like greeting people calmly and paying attention around distractions. Our goal is to strengthen the bond between you and your dog while giving you the tools to confidently handle everyday situations. Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or simply looking to brush up on the basics, Everyday Essentials Class is the perfect starting point for a lifetime of good behavior. This class is for all ages! AKC STAR Puppy test certification available for pups under a year old at the completion if class.

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of Everyday Essentials class. Our AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class is a 6-week course designed to prepare you and your dog for the official AKC CGC test, which is included at the end of the program. This class focuses on teaching and reinforcing the real-world skills needed for your dog to be a well-mannered member of the community, including polite greetings, loose leash walking, calm behavior around other dogs, and reliable responses to basic commands. Throughout the class, we’ll guide you through the 10 CGC test items, provide tips for continued success, and help strengthen your bond with your dog. By the end of the course, your dog will have the skills and confidence to earn the prestigious Canine Good Citizen title—a recognition of their excellent manners and your dedication as an owner.
AKC Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGC-A) Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of AKC CGC class. Take your dog’s manners beyond the basics with our AKC CGC-A class, also known as the Community Canine certification. This 6-week course focuses on teaching your dog to behave politely and be ready for real-world settings, such as parks, busy sidewalks, or pet-friendly stores. Skills include loose leash walking through crowds, calmly entering and exiting doorways, ignoring distractions, and demonstrating reliable responses to key commands. The course concludes with the official CGC-A test, included with your enrollment. Earning this title proves that your dog is not just a well-mannered companion at home but a confident and polite member of the community.

AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen (CGC-U) Class:
Prerequisite: The completion of AKC CGC-A Class. Our AKC CGC-U class is designed to prepare your dog for the unique challenges of navigating city and neighborhood environments. Over the course of 6 weeks, your dog will learn to safely and confidently handle urban scenarios, including crossing streets, ignoring food or trash on the ground, calmly passing other dogs and people, and navigating stairs or elevators. Training sessions may include field trips to real-world locations to practice these skills in action. At the end of the course, the official AKC Urban CGC test is included, showcasing that your dog can be a trusted, polite companion in any bustling urban setting.
Enrichment Classes
For those of you that have already mastered obedience or are looking for something different, these classes are designed for you and your dog to enjoy getting out of the house, learning new skills, and having fun together.
Our Everyday Essentials Class is a prerequisite for all our enrichment classes.
AKC Trick Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of Everyday Essentials Class. Whether your dog is just starting out or already has a few tricks under their collar, our AKC Trick Dog class is designed to meet them where they are—and take them to the next level! This upbeat, engaging class covers all levels of AKC Trick Dog titles, from Novice to Performer, with individualized coaching based on your dog’s skill set. We’ll work on fun and functional tricks like spin, shake, crawl, hoop jumps, and more, while building confidence, focus, and creativity along the way. Dogs will have the opportunity to earn an official AKC Trick Dog title by the end of class. It’s the perfect blend of learning and play!
AKC FIT-DOG Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of Everyday Essentials Class. The AKC FIT-DOG Class builds confidence, and introduces safe, low-impact fitness exercises to improve your dog’s strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Whether you have a performance dog preparing for competition or a pet dog needing more confidence and mental stimulation, this class provides the structure needed to kickstart your routine and earn points toward official AKC Fit Dog titles. This class is designed to inspire you to engage in fun fitness related activities with your dog while minimizing the risk of injury or harm. As a reminder, this course is not designed for dogs in need of rehabilitation. This course is only for healthy dogs with no significant prior injuries or ongoing conditions.
Reliable Recall Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of Everyday Essentials Class.“A Fresh Start for a Reliable Return” Prerequisite: AKC Puppy, Obedience 101, or Everyday Essentials Class. Our 4 week Reliable Recall Class is a specialized class designed to completely rebuild a dog’s response to the “come” command. It focuses on erasing your dogs past misconceptions of the command, and establishing a happy, enthusiastic return to the owner even under distraction!
K9 Nose Work Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of Everyday Essentials Class.Our K9 Nose Work class is a fun and low-impact canine sport inspired by our training of professional detection dogs (such as search-and-rescue or drug-sniffing dogs). It focuses on teaching pet dogs to find specific odors and alert their handlers to the location of the “hide”. The dogs love it because: -Mental Stimulation: Sniffing is highly tiring; approximately 15 minutes of nose work is mentally equivalent to an hour of physical exercise. -Confidence Building: Because it encourages independent problem-solving, it helps nervous dogs become more confident in new environments. -Accessibility: It is one of the few sports suitable for puppies, senior dogs, and even blind or disabled dogs, as it relies on their natural scenting ability rather than physical prowess. The handlers love it because: -Reading Body Language: Handlers learn to identify “tells” that signify their dog has caught a scent, such as a change in tail carriage or head snaps. -Leash Management: Proper handling to avoid interfering with the dog’s natural search pattern.
E-Collar Foundations Class:
Prerequisite: Completion of Everyday Essentials Class.Our E-Collar Foundations Class is all about Freedom Through Training! It is designed to give dog owners a clear, safe, and effective way to communicate with their dogs both on and off leash. This program focuses on teaching you how to properly condition your dog to the e-collar, ensuring they understand it as a form of communication—not punishment. Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to introduce the e-collar correctly, find and use your dog’s working level, and apply it in real-life situations to reinforce obedience commands such as recall, heel, place, and down. We emphasize clarity, consistency, and timing so your dog can confidently respond, even in distracting environments. This class is ideal for dogs who already have a basic understanding of obedience but are looking for more reliability and freedom. Whether your goal is off-leash hiking, improved behavior around distractions, or simply better everyday control, our structured approach will help you and your dog succeed as a team. All training is done with your dog’s well-being as the top priority. We focus on building trust, engagement, and clear communication so your dog feels confident in its new freedom. Requirements: Dogs should have a foundation in basic obedience. An appropriate e-collar is required (recommendations provided if needed). Competition Classes
These classes are for anyone who is looking to get into Rally and/or Obedience competitions. Rally is a fantastic way to dip your toes into competitions without too much pressure, and still having a lot of fun.
Passing our AKC CGC Class is a prerequisite for all our competition classes.
AKC Rally Signs & Skills Class:
Prerequisite: The completion of Everyday Essentials Class. AKC Rally 101 is a great way to build teamwork and engagement between you and your dog through structured, goal-based training. In this 6-week group class, we’ll introduce the foundations of Rally by teaching the AKC-approved signs, behaviors, and obedience exercises that appear in beginner-level Rally competition. You and your dog will learn how to perform specific skills such as sits, downs, turns, halts, and short heel segments with precision and connection. This class focuses on breaking down and practicing each sign individually—not running full courses—making it ideal for beginners looking to dip their paws into the Rally world without pressure.
AKC Rally Course Class :
Prerequisite: The completion of AKC Rally Signs & Skills Class.Master the ring with our 6-Week AKC Rally Courses Class & Virtual Title Prep. This class focuses entirely on the mechanics, flow, and mental endurance needed to navigate full trial courses. Designed for teams preparing for in-person trials or seeking AKC Virtual Rally titles, this class integrates video-recorded runs to submit to AKC for official virtual testing.
